What a question. Well, let's go. South Wales is very beautiful and very hilly and full of nice people of Wales, that is, if you find between the 2-owners, who just spent the weekend. North Wales is strong and beautiful, and is very mountainous and spectacular. It rains a lot in Wales .. S
Cornwall is great, beautiful, wild and windy. Their national dish, the Cornish Pasty is a beautiful thing. It was invented by miners, were the meat and vegetables in one end and a sweet filling in the other end, a meal in a pie. thick paste rolled brim, was a handful of miners, so that could eat your food with dirty hands and not to degrade the food ..

I am completely filled with blood from Wales, but even in England, Wales (south) and the whole family developed on both sides were born far from all Welsh. But Cornwall is simply beautiful .. You can not say is better than the other, both are beautiful places to go .. and no, you do not need snow shoes .. An umbrella for Wales and good walking shoes Cornwall (actually you need a good Walking) Shoes in Wales

I hope that you take two, both worth a visit ..

BTW Babs, how can you say, Cornwall is flat, not at all ..

This is one of the sweetest in the UK, although there are strong winds from the Atlantic. Snow is possible to occur until mid-March, but rare, and most likely on Bodmin Moor. The worst that happens is what usually Weatherwise slippery when it rains and then freezes.
SW Wales is the same. Both areas are very similar in the landscape and weather. More rain in Wales, though! The high mountain areas of Wales and can receive snow. It depends really depends Wales, where he goes.

A good starting point is Bude.

Cornwall is a little flatter than Wales has many mountains. Both can be bleak in bad weather and they can get snow. It can not get as cold as Canada or Siberia, even in the mountains in bad weather. The depth of snow this winter, it is difficult to say. His summer was terrible, but I've heard predictions of a very bad winter, so that is when they guaranteed the waiting dogs, sleds and snowshoes, questionable. That yes, are not easy to find the dogs and sled here :-) *

Where you go, you should make sure that you wear suitable clothing and education for the weather. It should also be aware that cell phone signals in the remotest areas of the United Kingdom unequal. Every year was the hills and mountain rescue teams have threatened people who were saved without any clothes.

In addition, plastic is not universally adopted in the United Kingdom, and a good supply of cash or a checkbook is recommended. We went to Cornwall and recently found several bars that do not accept the plastic --general.

Personally, if I could choose I would go as I Snowdonia Wales (Northern Wales) love. I am focusing on Betwys-y-Coed (sp?) Zone.

Other suggestions if you are interested in the aquatic environment, could enjoy the Norfolk Broads. There are far too WW2 again in Kent, Sussex and Hampshire to do. All these factors have a great walk. Sussex and Hampshire are less likely to be affected by the severe weather conditions in winter. That yes, anywhere in the United Kingdom has pleasant walks and a lot of history!

I can not speak on behalf of Cornwall, as I live. I'm in the amount of tourists who surprised in the coming winter in Cornwall as Eskimo hats in their big boots and go big, thick gloves and scarves. Looks like they are on the edge of Siberia! In fact, the Cornish climate is mild and seldom snows. If there is snow, it is usually allowed by the sea breeze of salt per day.
As for the payment of plastic in the fields of restaurants at night, we are in the 21 Century know here in Cornwall!
